Sally Harper is a fun-loving grandmother, lifelong cat lover, and passionate storyteller who brings heartwarming and inclusive tales to young readers. Her debut children’s book, Why Do I Have Two Mummies?, tells a gentle and uplifting story of love, family, and belonging, created especially for little ones growing up in diverse families.
Working alongside her husband, Martin, who handles the technical side of book production, Sally focuses on crafting engaging stories that resonate with children and parents alike. Together, they bring each book to life—Sally with her storytelling and Martin with formatting, digital design, and illustration refinements using tools like Leonardo AI.
As they continue developing their growing collection of children’s books, Sally and Martin are introducing “Two Mummies” to new audiences while preparing fresh stories that celebrate kindness, friendship, and self-acceptance.
When she’s not writing, Sally enjoys spending time with their grandchildren, entertaining and of course doting on their ginger tom-cat the inspiration for “Sallys Shoes & Socks”.
